12 Tough Coaching Situations

- Losing
your job and making the first call for help.
- Coaching
a player who cannot stand you and you do not respect him.
- Having
a losing season your last year of coaching.
- Finding
out your assistant coach is not loyal.
- Fighting
cancer while you continue to coach.
- Your
child or family member dies during the season.
- Your
athletic director is a turd and you know it.
- Turning
around a losing program.
- Realizing
one of your players or coaches has an alcohol or drug problem.
- Being
shot dead while holding the hand of your child. (e.g. Ricky Birdsong)
- Being
down by 20 against your crosstown rival with one minute to go during
Homecoming.
- Finishing
your practice on October 15th and realizing you will compete
for 8th place in a 7 team conference.
We should all appreciate the better moments in this
game. God knows there will be some rough
times!
