Who can apply?
You can apply for a Prince Edward Island birth certificate if you are:
(a) the person whose name appears on the certificate
(b) parents of the person whose name appears on the certificate. For children over 19, parents require their authorization
(c) a legal guardian (you must include your guardianship papers)
(d) an attorney working for or any person with permission from (a) or (b) above.
